Bed Lighting LEDs - Can I tap into existing bed lights??

Question for the group:

I want to add in LED strip lights for extra bed lighting. Can I splice into the existing lights in the bed or do I have to splice into the wiring harness?

I got this awesome lighting kit from F-150 LEDs but...
